Tape jumbo rolls-also known as carton sealing tape jumbo rolls or packaging tape jumbo rolls-utilize BOPP (biaxially oriented polypropylene) film as the base material. After the film undergoes high-voltage corona treatment to roughen one surface, a pressure-sensitive adhesive emulsion (primarily composed of butyl acrylate) is evenly applied and dried to form the semi-finished tape product. These jumbo rolls serve as the raw material for manufacturing finished goods such as carton sealing tapes; they require downstream slitting and processing to become the retail-ready tapes found on the market.
Tape jumbo rolls are characterized by strong initial tack, excellent holding power, good conformability, and resistance to solvents, splitting, and retraction, making them suitable for use in harsh climatic conditions.
