Once slit into finished tapes, jumbo rolls of adhesive tape are primarily used in end-use applications such as carton sealing, warehouse storage, and product securing; they are also utilized for container shipping and for preventing cargo theft or unauthorized opening.
In 2024, Vietnam imported 150,200 tons of adhesive tape jumbo rolls from China, representing a 606.13% increase compared to 2015. From January to November 2025, import volume reached 160,400 tons, up 17.85% year-on-year. Vietnam's domestic industry for these jumbo rolls lacks a complete supporting supply chain, and high independent production costs render local products uncompetitive. Thanks to mature supply chains and cost advantages, Chinese adhesive tape jumbo rolls maintain strong competitiveness in the Vietnamese market.
